De Wintern’s approach follows a strict planning process in the form of our methodology that delivers results and complete transparency to the client. A simplified outline of our process is been set out below as a reference to our thinking.
Objectives
A communication programme must align with the organisations overall objectives in order to add real value. At the commencement of every assignment, whether short term or long term, we ensure that we understand the corporate objectives, and align the campaign objectives to those corporate objectives.
Analysis
After establishing business objectives, we identify and analyse the various stakeholders that can impact the organisation’s business objectives. Ultimately, you can’t influence a situation if you don’t know who you need to influence, and where they stand on given issues. De Wintern’s methodology is based on solid academic principles, deliberate thought and testing.
Communication Strategy
A clearly defined communications strategy helps inform decisions made during the campaign. Strategy must always provide a clear vision and a course of action, providing a path to reach our objectives.
Communications plan
With a clear strategy in place, choosing tactics, tools and timing becomes a straight forward and deliberate process. The communications plan is structured in such a way that the client maintains visibility on activity at all times. The communications plan includes a series of tactical activity that is informed by strategy at each step, providing visibility to the client on what De Wintern consultants are doing and why it is important to the campaign.
